Founded by Arabella MacRitchie in 2016, Arabella London offers luxury inclusive cup-sized swimwear that combines couture-like craftsmanship with ultra-sophisticated silhouettes. Arabella’s atypical trajectory from History of Art graduate to swimwear designer is a testament to her tenacity, dedication, and belief in instilling every woman with the utmost confidence. Now, Arabella London can be found stocked in shops such as Harrods, Selfridges, and Victoria’s Secret.
We started working with Arabella around 6 years ago when all the founder had was her original sketches and a strong vision. Starting from scratch with product development, sourcing and sampling, we helped build and launch their first collection from our London-based headquarters. After the initial success of the tester run, the team at London Contour Experts then helped the label to build out their product and size range, in their signature, luxe aesthetic. Over those 6 years, Arabella’s product formula has stayed consistent, allowing them to maintain a beautiful and reliable fit across ranges.
We were able to work flexibly with the brand, allowing them to test the product at a small scale, sustainably, with a minimum order quantity run in London. As wholesale demand increased, after the start of their partnership with Harrods, Arabella London was gaining a lot of momentum. At this point it became time to transition to producing larger production runs overseas.
However, BodywearLab maintains a strong working relationship with Arabella London continuously helping with new technical innovations, sampling and small production runs in London.
Arabella London’s luxury swimwear has a strong USP that goes further than aesthetic, with their foam cup concept they provide not only a recognisable shape but a built in moulded support and breast shaper.
