Product Sampling
With this service, sit back and let us handle everything for you! From pattern creation, samples, fit, fit feedback, grading, and technical pack creation, all done in one place with a plugin team of specialists.
Pattern Creation
Once the design phase is complete and signed off, we start the building process by handing it over to our highly experienced development team. They will create technically accurate patterns to produce the first samples of your collection.
Sampling
As a fully factored design and manufacturing house, our highly skilled team will take the designs you have created and will be working through the process below so that you have completed samples, grades and technical packs ready for production. Amount of samples may vary depending what stage your business is at, as well as your company specific needs.If it’s B:B or B:C, please read our deck to understand the differences.
Red Seal Sampling
For this service, we will source and purchase all components and materials required for your samples. We will meticulously check the fit and quality of the garment, using our comprehensive fit feedback sheets to develop the pattern for perfection. We will test your samples on one of our models with our design team who will ensure your product is perfect both on and off the body, then adjust the sample according to the fit feedback.
The sampling size will be 1 x Small (UK size 10) and for wired samples, 34B will be the sample size unless specified otherwise. The colourway can be your choice.
Gold Seal Sampling
Your red seal pattern will be graded to gold approval. We will meticulously check the fit and quality of the garment, using our comprehensive fit feedback sheets to develop the pattern for perfection. The sampling size will typically be in the biggest size or the size furthest away from the base size in your collection. Once your samples achieve gold seal, they will be signed off.
Fit Feedback
We will test your samples on one of our models alongside our design team, who will check every inch of the garment to ensure it is perfect. After each sample round, we will provide a fit feedback with the client so they are kept up to date on where their product is in the development process, as well as offering an opportunity for them to provide their feedback and opinion so we can adjust the product accordingly.
Grading
Once both you and our team of experts are satisfied with the sample, we will begin pattern grading your products to either end of your size range. Pattern grading is the process of turning a sample size (generally referred to as base size) into additional smaller or larger sizes, which can then be used for your production and photoshoots.
This process involves utilising state-of-the-art technology to digitise your patterns and build out your desired size range. This process also ensures that all measurements are accurate before production begins. The grading process will begin after red seal sampling.
Technical Packs
Technical packs are created once the development stage is complete. Creating a comprehensive technical pack will work as the blueprints or manual for manufacturers to produce your product at either a local or global scale.
These packs contain detailed information about your garment design. It includes size measurements, care label instructions, artwork or logo placement, fabric specifications, packing instructions etc. so you can be assured that your products will come out perfectly every time. Once your technical packs have been created and handed over, production can begin.
